What Our Clients Are Saying

Don't just take our word for it - see what our clients have to say about their experience working with us.

Very good process from start to finish - protected everything, cleaned up appropriately each day, then did a final touchup and clean up that left me searching for something to find wrong.

Kevin C.

The entire staff at Phinney Ridge was responsible, always on time, very good at communicating what needed to be done and what they were going to do, and generally very professional to deal with.

Martha L.

From the courtesy of all we interacted with to get our project lined up, to the expert craftsmen who did the work complete with a thorough cleanup post project, we could not be more pleased with the PRP!

Mary C.

I wish more contractors were like Phinney Ridge Painting. Their team was responsive, attentive to detail, always showed up on time, and delivered quality work, including tricky deck and siding repairs.

Alexander K.

The painting crews were punctual, organized, neat, friendly, and did excellent work. The paint job turned out wonderfully. We are 100% happy and fully recommend PRP!

Jean P.

I really can't say enough good things about the owner, Nik. He has so much passion for his trade, company, and employees that it's truly inspiring. He completely blew away the competition!

Anna G.

They did a fantastic job. Great attention to detail. Prepped areas for painting very carefully. Protected the house very well.

Frank M.

Phinney Ridge did a great job on our home. They offered a color consultation with their service (which was a huge benefit to us and avoided a potential mistake on color).

Amanda M.

Our experience was as you would hope for all your home improvement contractor contacts. They were professional, courteous, reasonably priced, and did an outstanding job on the work.

Chris M.

High-quality work that will last a long time. Detailed bid, professional process, great people. Highly recommend.

Jessa Z.

If you're looking for the highest quality standards and finest detailing, you'll get it from Phinney Ridge. Plus they are very friendly and professional.

Frank C.

Phinney Ridge Painting did an amazing job on my home. Our 1961 home had not been painted in decades and after a lot of professionally executed hard work, it looks brand new.

Frequently Asked Questions

We know we can’t answer all of your questions without talking to you first, so here are a few of the most common we get from our clients.

Every project starts with an on-site consultation, where one of our estimators evaluates your existing conditions and discusses materials and options. From there, our carpentry team handles installation, and we finish with any needed prep, staining, or painting so the final result looks great and lasts for years to come.

We install a range of railings, from traditional wood to prefabricated metal and composite options, plus custom metal railings for a more tailored look. Your estimator can recommend the best option based on your home's style and budget.

We do both. We handle spot repairs on gates, boards, posts, or full sections, and we also install new fencing, gates, arbors, and privacy screens from the ground up.

We install tongue and groove fir porch flooring, composite decking, cedar, hardwoods, and thermally modified products like Thermory and Kebony. Composite is a popular choice for homeowners who want to avoid the ongoing maintenance that wood decking requires in Seattle's wet climate.

If the framing is solid and only a few boards or railings are damaged, a repair extends the life of your existing deck at a lower cost. If the framing is compromised or the deck is showing widespread rot, a full replacement is usually the better long-term investment, and we'll walk you through both options during your estimate.
