At PRP, working on historical structures is our expertise. The L’Amourita Co-Op is one of many architectural and historical jewels of Seattle which require a unique blend of technical expertise coupled with the ability to scale up and tackle big projects.

The Problem

This building had a significant backlog of stucco and carpentry repairs resulting from a long-failed paint job. The unique nature of this work, the age of the building, and the unique communications need that working on a 21-owner/resident building posed challenges that other contractors were unwilling to take on.

The Solution

Due to the size of this structure and the cost of the project to the residents, the work was broken into two phases and conducted over two exterior painting seasons. We entered every unit to ensure a lead-safe seal around all windows and door tolerances, then repaired all failed exterior wood and stucco before caulking and painting all surfaces with two heavy coats of lifetime exterior-grade satin latex paint.
